New furniture, great deal!!!

I could help but share this excellent deal Cam and I purchased last night through group purchasing mob Living Social.

It is a voucher for home wares/furniture at one of Australia's biggest online furniture stores, Milan Direct. We were looking at purchasing some replica chairs from here anyway so this was a deal too good to pass up.

Essentially it is purchasing anything from Milan Direct at 50% off.

Our voucher was $499 to buy $1050 worth of goods. For that money, we can get 12 dining chairs and a lamp.

Delivery is extra and for these 13 items is roughly $100 from NSW to Melbourne.

They have vouchers in lots of smaller amounts and you can buy as many as you want but only use one at a time.

Follow the link below to find out more! But hurry as the deal finishes in a few days.

Have a great weekend!

Emptying the piggy bank... AGAIN!

Introducing the newest member of our family...

OUR NEW STUNNING BLACK LEATHER
KING FURNITURE CONCERTO M20 PACKAGE MODULAR SOFA...
(phew, what a mouthful)

The King Furniture Concerto. You can package it however you like. We went with the M20, which is a package with memory foam seats (they are super-comfortable). Everything is interchangeable including the arms which are removable.

This is the configuration but the opposite way... Its a huge couch. This afternoon we went to the house to try visualise it in the Lounge room (remember... Cam is a visual learner! lol) Luckily all the thick ply temporary bench tops were still there so we were able to lay them our as pseudo-couches... It is a huge 3.75m wide at the back but fits nicely in the space!

It is more likely to look like this being that we chose it in Black Leather. With configuration as above.
We got one of these too... A medium sized 'BONGO' like the one she is sitting on It will be upholstered in the fabric below. I'm also going to get a glazier to make a nice glass top for it to protect it. LOVE :)
Sanderson "Dandelion Clocks"
It will look soooo awesome!

I was going to purchase some cushions from King as well in the same fabric, but couldn't bear to part with $130 a cushion (YES, that's the sale price) for cushions I could buy from Etsy for about $50 each including postage from the US!

I'm loving the retro vibe of the Dandelion clocks... Here are some more photos of it in action!

Do you love? I do...

A very happy Kirst signing off..

Weekend Purchases!

Last Sunday morning we took a little trip over to the E & S Trading (a kitchen and bathroom appliance specialist here in Melbourne) Warehouse Sale. We had been told by a sales consultant at E & S mid last year that these warehouse sales were the best place to snap up a bargain and boy was she right!

Doors opened at 9am but we were running a little late and go there by 9:20am. There were hundreds of people there and by the time we got to where the dishwashers were all the semi-integrated Siemens dishwashers that we wanted were already sold. Boo Hoo! Most of the items were manufacturers seconds with cabinet damage. I didn't see one dent or damaged cabinet on any of the items at all so I suspect they are mainly at the back and sides.

After wandering around a bit more I found a row of Bosch dishwashers (which are exactly the same company and factory as Siemens in Germany) which although they weren't as sleek as the Siemens, internally were identical! For $800 off the regular price, yes $800.. we decided that we could live with the difference especially since it will be semi integrated.

Additionally all of the Fisher and Paykel French Door Fridges were sold by the time we got there, but we decided to look at the them anyway and a F&P sales guy came over and told us that around the corner, the new model was also being sold discounted but they weren't in stock.

Cut a long story short... we bought this beauty for $900 cheaper than the shops too and E & S will store it in their warehouse until we move in and then delivery and install it for the measly sum of $45.

Moral of the story folks... if in Melbourne and in need of great kitchen appliances, or bathroom ware go to e and s trading website and sign up to be reminded of their next warehouse sale in 6 months time. It was so worth it!

Very pleased with our little shopping trip!

SALE!

For all the Melbournites building a house, Dare Gallery is having a warehouse scratch n dent sale. One day only this Sat. They have some nice furniture every now and then so it might be worth a look ;)

I found the flyer in our local paper. I can put more details if you can't read the print on the dodgy iPhone photo.

Ps...I'm writing a post on something other than what's not going on onsite so I don't get further disheartened :(
